Lythil the Devout Ertert13 Lythil.

“The dryads are female spirits of nature (nymphs), who preside over the groves and forests. Each one is born with a certain tree over which she watches. A dryad either lives in a tree, in which case she is called a hamadryad, or close to it. The lives of the dryads are connected with that of the trees; should the tree perish, then she dies with it. If this is caused by a mortal, the gods will punish him for that deed. The dryads themselves will also punish any thoughtless mortal who would somehow injure the trees.”

Biography:
Lythil was created by Omnia the Maker, Father of Dryads many eons ago when the world was young and flourishing. Timid and skittish, she kept to herself with the other Dryads and wildlife deep within the forests of Exitium.

As the years passed and the world aged around her she learned much from nature and those who managed to find themselves at the roots of her great oak. She spent her years walking alongside Omnia when he appeared before his children in physical form and became a devout follower of his teachings.

Over time, word of the destruction of Exitium reached Lythil in the heart of Antiqua Forest. Not long after the whispers started, Omnia grew silent. Her once involved god was nowhere to be found and her prayers went unanswered. His very presence was undetectable.

Many of the remaining Dryads left their home for the first time ever in search of answers, including Lythil. Her powers weakened from leaving Antiqua Forest and her Tree, her body clothed and uncomfortable, she sets out into a world very different from her own in the hopes of preserving her reality before it’s too late.

Magic Abilities:
All magical abilities work best when surrounded by other living beings, especially plants.

Trance- Lythil can emit special pheromones that sway others, invoke emotions in them, or generally make them more susceptible to her desires when needed.

Regeneration- General healing abilities and regeneration of life. Works best with plants (to the point of bringing them back to life or growing them from seeds herself), but can heal minor wounds on humanoids and animals.

Life Speak- Lythil is able to speak with all living things, not by means of formal language but by projecting and receiving meaning and intent from them. Works with all humanoids, plants, and animals. This cannot be forced, it is a voluntary form of communication between her and another living thing. Works best with plants.

Life Drain- A very taboo ability amongst her kind, rarely used. Drains the very life force from other living things and leaves the Dryad especially powerful and uncharacteristically malevolent for a short time after use. Can be used to weaken or even kill the victim.

Chameleon- Lythil can blend into natural surroundings by turning her body into foliage.

Other Skills:
Apothecary/Potions- This is a nonmagical ability. Knowledge gained from being surrounded by many various species of plants for several hundred years. No formal education.

Friend to Animals- Any animal untainted by evil feels safe in her presence. Can be used as allies in times of need.

Empath- Lythil has the natural ability to detect the alignment, mindset, motive, mood etc. of other living creatures. (This is not a psychic ability, just a skill from being very in tune with life.)
